Sacrifice allows the user to inflict high damage with their next 5 melee attacks at the cost of their own HP, costing them 9% of their max HP per swing regardless if the swing connects or not. The damage of this skill is only affected by the user's max HP and the skill level; ATK does not affect the damage. This skill has no time duration and is only removed either once the user makes 5 melee attacks, re-logs back into the game, dies, or has the buff removed from Dispell or Battle Chant. Other skills can be used while this skill is active, and are unaffected by Martyr's Reckoning. The only exception to this is the Fire damage bonus from Magnum Break, which is forced to Neutral element.

Damage Factors
* Damage is only affected by the user's Max HP and skill level. ATK does not affect the damage.

* It is always Neutral element; Ghostring armor and Neutral resistances reduce its damage. Using a weapon elemental endow does NOT allow it to bypass Neutral resistances.

* Reduction gears like Cranial and Poo lower the damage.

* Magnum Break's Fire damage bonus does increase its damage, but it's forced to NEUTRAL.

* The Sign accessory boosts MR's damage by 5%, and Battlegrounds Swordsman's Medal of Honor only the boosts with +500 HP part(its attack 5% part does not).

* Shield Reflect reflects its damage.

* It suffers skill damage penalty during War of Emperium.

Notes
* It ignores FLEE and DEF of the target.

* It can be Perfectly Dodged

* Other skills can be used while MR is active. These skills are unaffected.

* MR takes precedence over any other melee-buff skills, such as Royal Guard's Exceed Break.

* The player loses 9% of the Max HP with each swing regardless, whether the damage connects or not.

* The Emperium takes no damage from MR.

* Foes inside Safety Wall take no damage from MR.

* If casted outside of Classical Pluck, the enhanced melee damage will function within it.

* Ice Pick does not affect the damage.

* Baphomet Card does not give splash damage for hits.

* Can be used on Boss Monsters.

* Turning MR on and then casting Gloria Domini, MR can still be used during GD's delay.

* Counter Instinct has a chance of halving MR's damage and reflecting it back upon the caster if it is being used with a Sword or Dagger type weapon.

Type: Offensive Skill
Levels: 5
SP Cost: 100
HP Cost: 9% per melee attack (= 45% after five swings)
Prerequisites
(Swordsman) Endure Lv. 1, (Crusader) Sacrifice Lv. 3

Overview

This skill always does Neutral-element damage, even if an elemental weapon endow is used. This skill ignores FLEE and DEF of its target but can be reflected by Shield Reflect and Perfect Dodge. Any targets inside of a Safety Wall will not receive damage from this skill. In addition, this skill can be used on Boss monsters. Martyr's Reckoning takes precedence over other melee buff skills, such as a Royal Guard's Exceed Break. If cast outside of Classical Pluck, the enhanced melee damage granted by Martyr's Reckoning will still function inside of Classical Pluck. Martyr's Reckoning can also be used during Gloria Domini's delay if cast before Gloria Domini. When used with One-Handed Swords or Daggers, Counter Instinct has a chance of halving the damage of Martyr's Reckoning and reflecting it back upon the caster.

Any gear that reduces Neutral element damage, damage received from Demi-Human, or grants the player the Ghost element will reduce the damage received by this skill. Gears that reduce the damage received include a Ghostring Card, a Poo Poo Hat, a Beret, and more. Martyr's Reckoning can be enhanced by The Sign, which increases the damage by 5%. An Ice Pick does not affect Martyr's Reckoning's damage. A Baphomet Card does not give splash damage on successful hits.
