Heroic Gear Enchants

Overview

Once you've cleared the Devil's Palace and completed the The Demon King's Downfall quest, Commander Agip will award you with Expedition's Reward Box, which contains useful Card-like items, the Devil's Essences.
However, you may have no use for certain types and levels of the Devil's Essence and thus to your rescue comes Hridalf, giving those items a new use.

Hridalf

This gloomy elf is a member of the expedition and a researcher who found a new use for the Devil's Essences.
He is able to enchant Heroic Armor and Footgear with the said Devil's Essences.

To make use of his services, you must first turn-in the unwanted Devil's Essences, which are exchanged for Contained Devil's Taint necessary for the enchantment process.

Enchantments

Only one enchantment is possible and you're able to choose both the level and the type of the Devil's Essence.
There's no failure chance and re-enchantment is possible.
Likewise, the Refinement Level and Cards are all kept intact.

The price increases based on the level of the Devil's Essence that you desire, and if you bring the exact one you wish to enchant onto your equipment, the price can be lowered to 1/3 of the original.
This doesn't affect the Zeny cost, which is fixed.
