Area of Effect

Overview

Area of Effect (abbreviated as AoE) skills are ones that affect a specific radius in an area. They have the ability to target multiple units within the space as opposed to single target skills, which can only target a specific unit. AoE skills typically have a significantly larger radius than single-target skills. Some AoE skills are ground-targeted, which means that the user chooses a specific square on the ground instead of a target. If the skill is ground-targeting, a circle will appear before casting the skill, indicating where on screen the skill will occur.
